Ellen
Carlson has been performing and teaching for many years.
Currently she is the fiddler for the acoustic roots band, High Range
who has had a number one hit on Music Choice (a cable/satellite
radio station) and won runner-up in the International Acoustic
Music Awards.
Ellen performed with the award-winning
country band the Blue Hill Kickers in the '90's
opening for such acts as Martina McBride, Steve Warner,
and the Mavericks. She has been a guest performer on recordings
by various local artists
including Dave Gerard (Truffle), the Ron Noyes Band (rock),
Fat Hands (folk/country), Late Night Radio (swing), and Deidre Randall
(folk). She has given fiddle workshops with April
Verch, Ruth Ungar and JP Cormier at the Wolfeboro Folk
Festival. Ellen teaches at the Grey Fox Kid's Academy, the Joe
Val Bluegrass
Festival's Kid's Academy and the Strawberry Park Kid's
Academy. She has also played with the Fiddleheads
Band, Sweet, Hot & Sassy, and Idol Hands. |
